ABC News: The 411 on Park City, Sundance

Came across this article about the Sundance Film Festival (Park City, Utah), and it reminded me of our visit there for the 2002 Olympics. Really liked the town, old mining town, pretty touristy, but lots of fun things to see and do. When we were there for the Olympics, they had a huge tv screen at the end of the street in above photo, could watch Olympic events on it. It was snowing, and they were having fireworks too. All pretty cool, but bizarre too, to be happening in the snow. Really had a great time. Anyway, link below takes you to news story about Park City (home of the Sundance Film Festival) and how it all got started.

New Year's Eve flooding in the valley

Another view of the flooding in our valley. This photo was taken from the road, there shouldn't be water anywhere in this picture, but now looks like a shallow lake, and covers one lane of the road.

My new Photo Journal

After having not posted on my journals for several months, I too have decided to move my photo journal from AOL to here. Several of my fellow photo journalists have done the same, after AOL decided to put ad banners across the top of our journals there. It is very distracting from our photos, and just looks tacky.

Photo: New Year's eve (12-31-05) flooding in the valley. This is normally a pasture for cattle and horses. Now looks like a lake.
